Three-day Buddhist festival begins in Bodh Gaya from today

The three-day Buddhist festival has started from today in Bodhgaya located in Gaya, Bihar. This festival is being organized by the Bihar government.

The inauguration ceremony of the festival was attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Bihar government ministers, Buddhist monks and other dignitaries.

Various cultural programs will be organized during the festival. It includes music, dance, drama and other events. Apart from this, there will also be discussions between Buddhist monks and scholars from different countries.

The objective of the festival is to propagate Buddhism and spread the message of world peace.

Lakhs of devotees are expected to participate in the festival. Bodhgaya is the place of enlightenment of Lord Buddha. It is an important religious site for Buddhists around the world.

Bodhgaya is decorated in a grand manner during the festival. A huge stage has been built in the Kalachakra ground. The statue of Lord Buddha has been installed on the stage.
